Sophie graduated from Chichester University in 1997 with a degree in Art and Related Arts . She moved to Brighton in the same year, and has been exhibiting paintings extensivly in galleries, bars and restaurants ever since.

Her work is influenced by recent adventures in the carribean and the Greek Islands, with their dramatic coastlines, colourful harbours, and beautiful scenery. Her work originates in observation, but via the painting process it transcends into abstraction. The mixture of solid form and random mark making reflect the evolving formations found in nature.
